The pineapple fiber in this yarn is obtained from the leaves of the pineapple plant, which would ordinarily be considered as waste and often burned. The fibers used are processes using sustainable methods, without the use of bleach. Instead of using harmful chemicals, an enzyme process is used to wash away contaminants and the rest of the process is completely mechanised to minimize the environmental impact.

The pineapple fibers give the yarn a slightly rustic look and feel, without being scratchy, while the Lyocell lends a subtle sheen. The yarn is particularly suitable for eyelet lace patterns and it is naturally breathable.
